Lydia Sarponmaa Asante is a committed public health professional with experience spanning research, academia and community education. My transdisciplinary approach to public health theory and practice is coupled with exceptional communication skills, motivating spirit and an engaging public speaking ability. I am enthusiastic about community outreach through academic research, Health Education and Promotion, capacity building and collective empowerment to alleviate health problems. I attended the Sahmyook University in Seoul, South Korea where I majored in Public Health having done courses in Epidemiology, nutrition and food hygienics, data management amongst others. I joined the Catholic University of Ghana in 2020 as a lecturer in the Department of Public Health. Dr Asante currently teaches Research Methods, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Demography and Vital Statistics in the Graduate and Undergraduate programmes.
