C.U.G
From the onset of my career in academia in February 2004 as a Tutor, to my current role as the Finance Officer at the University, my journey has been both enriching and exemplary in equal measure. My ascension to the position of Lecturer in June 2008 marked a significant milestone, paving the way for contributions that extend beyond the confines of the classroom and into the very fabric of financial governance and accountability within educational institutions. My academic and professional qualifications form the cornerstone of my expertise and authority in my field. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), I furthered my education with a Master of Science in Industrial Mathematics from the same institution in 2008. The realms of accounting and finance beckoned, leading me to acquire several prestigious designations including Chartered Accountant (ICAG, 2013), Chartered Tax Practitioner (CITG, 2017), Chartered Global Management Accountant (AICPA-CIMA, 2023), Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA, 2023), and a Post Chartered Diploma in Treasury and Financial Risk Management (ICAG, 2020).
My commitment to excellence and accountability in financial management extends to various significant roles beyond the university. I am privileged to serve on the Board of Directors for Capital Rural Bank Plc, and as a member of the Audit Committees for Berekum College of Education, College of Health & Well-Being, and Dormaa East District Assembly. These positions allow me to contribute my expertise towards the improvement and oversight of financial practices within these organizations, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and growth. Publication in International and highly recognized journals has been a fulfilling aspect of my career, allowing me to share knowledge, research findings, and insights with a global audience. This aspect of my work not only fosters professional growth but also contributes to the collective wisdom of the academic and financial communities.
On a personal note, I am married and blessed with three children. My life outside of work is filled with activities that enrich my soul and body alike. I have a keen interest in programming, which keeps me connected to my roots in computer science, while reading provides me with a gateway to explore new ideas, cultures, and philosophies. Exercise is a critical part of my routine, ensuring that I maintain a healthy balance between mind and body, essential for the demands of my professional and personal life. In reflection, my journey thus far has been guided by a commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the societies in which I live and work. The path ahead is filled with opportunities for growth, innovation, and service, and I look forward to navigating this journey with the same zeal and dedication that have brought me to this point in my career.
