Isaac Appiah Amankwa is a lecturer at the Department of Economics and presently serves as the Head of the Department. He has worked with the Catholic University of Ghana (CUG) since 2010 and has been promoted through the ranks since he joined the university. Initially, he worked as a Senior Research Assistant from September 2010 to June 2014. In July 2014, he was promoted to Assistant Lecturer, and then in July 2017, he became a Lecturer. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration, with specialization in Economics, from the Catholic University of Ghana in 2009, and then he pursued a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at KNUST. His research interests are in the areas of financial economics, public finance, and macroeconomic policy.
